Guided Recovery In Water
Our aquatic rehabilitation differs from general pool exercise. Each programme is planned and supervised by a therapist around the individual’s assessed needs, abilities and rehabilitation goals.
Aquatic Therapy
At HOPE Physiotherapy Rehabilitation Centre, aquatic therapy is planned after assessment and delivered through supervised exercise in a pool environment. Programmes may support children with developmental needs, people undergoing sports rehabilitation such as ACL rehabilitation, older adults working on strength and fall prevention, and individuals recovering from orthopaedic conditions. Exercises are tailored to each person’s abilities, goals and stage of recovery.
Our Approach To Aquatic Therapy
Based on assessment findings, our aqua centric therapy programmes may include supported walking, mobility exercises, balance and coordination tasks, strengthening, endurance work and gait practice. Buoyancy can reduce weight-bearing demands, while water resistance supports graded exercise.
Aquatic therapy may form part of sports rehabilitation, paediatric care, geriatric strengthening and fall prevention, or orthopaedic rehabilitation, with other specialists involved where needed.
