Shock Wave Therapy

At HOPE Physiotherapy Rehabilitation Centre, shockwave therapy begins with an assessment of pain, movement, muscle stiffness, strength and functional limitations. Our therapist may use radial or focused acoustic waves for selected persistent tendon or soft-tissue conditions, including plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendinopathy, tennis elbow, patellar tendinopathy, calcific shoulder tendinopathy, trigger points and muscle strains. Treatment is planned around suitability, goals, response and active rehabilitation for each individual patient.

Our Approach To Shockwave Therapy

Available across HOPE’s three centres, shockwave therapy may be considered as part of the treatment program along with other electrical modalities to manage pain, along with exercises.
